Attracting and retaining leadership talent is one of the most important success factors for organizations in Alberta’s energy industry. In order to assist organizations in developing a better understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of the industry’s talent strategies, Conroy Ross Partners initiated the Leadership Talent Survey. The survey addressed management and executive leaders in both human resources and other disciplines in the energy industry. In the survey, human resource professionals were asked to share their current talent strategies and challenges they face. Leaders in other disciplines were asked to share their perceptions of, and attitudes towards, their employer’s talent strategies.
Results of our survey offer considerations critical to attracting, developing and retaining leadership talent in Alberta’s energy industry.
