THE COMPANY
Our client, recently awarded New Producer Green Fuels at the 2009 Canadian Renewable Fuels Summit, Milligan Bio-Tech Inc. (MBTI) is a leading edge Canadian Bio-diesel production company with an historic strength in research and development and a growing capability for successfully launching, marketing and selling high quality products. The company, established in 1996, currently sits on 15 acres of land and has a production facility that is approximately 18,000sqft on the eastern outskirt of Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. MBTI’s off-grade canola crushing facility operates 24/7. The Bio-Diesel optimization plant currently has capacity is to produce 20million litres/year. The goal over the next 18 months will be to expand the production capacity to 150million litres/year. MBTI has achieved ISO 9001 and 1801 certification and is working towards 14001. This exciting, dynamic organization attracts talented employees from across Canada. MBTI”s plans are to continue expansion of its markets, products and operations in Western Canada.

Milligan Bio-Tech became a pioneer in the mid 1990’s in the now emerging bio-diesel industry in Canada. The investments made by past and present shareholders have been essential to the development of its patented ‘made in Canada’ bio-diesel technology through collaboration with Agriculture Canada and the University of Saskatchewan. Upon incorporation in 1996, Milligan Bio-Tech began researching potential markets and testing its products, until optimal quality was achieved. In 1999 Milligan began producing methyl ester (bio-diesel) in a lab scale setting. Then to compliment the bio-diesel product, research and development of additional products including Diesel Fuel Conditioner and Penetrating Oil began.

Today, Milligan Bio-Tech has four products in the marketplace as well as others in research and development. The existing products consist of Bio-diesel that is of the highest quality and meets or exceeds both the North American ASTM 6751 as well as the European EN 14214 standards. Our client’s product development experience has enabled them to also produce superior renewable environmentally friendly co-products: Milligan's Diesel Fuel Conditioner, Penetrating Oil and Road Dust Suppressant.

MBTI is at an inflection point in its business lifecycle where executive leadership is required to advance its mission and achieve the owners’ goals. It is an attractive opportunity for an entrepreneurial CEO who teams effectively with high performing operational leaders, while drawing upon his / her experience building and nurturing strong customer and supplier relationships. Both of these capabilities must be complimented by an ability to advocate for enabling government policies / programs for the industry. An ownership position is a possibility for the right executive leader! To learn more about Milligan Bio-Tech Inc please visit their website at: www.milliganbiotech.com
