Mark Hopkins
Partner
Mark Hopkins has been a Partner in Executive Search with Conroy Ross Partners since 2001, and leads a successful practice with a number of major oil and gas, pipeline, oil sands, and oil service clients.
A graduate of the University of Alberta, and the Management Development Program at the University of Western Ontario, Mark managed Human Resources, Safety and Administrative Services with Home Oil. As General Manager, Human Resources and Administration, he also participated in HR strategies for Hiram Walker Resources and later for the Interhome Energy group of companies. With Towers Perrin, Mark developed defined contribution, incentive compensation, and stock option plans for oil and gas, airline, and telecommunications companies.
As Regional Vice President with Right Management Consultants, Mark returned their four western Canadian offices to profitability, doubling regional revenues. He introduced organizational consulting services, focusing on cultural integration and alignment during mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Right's clients included leaders in oil and gas, pipelines, technology, manufacturing and financial services.
Mark is involved with the Rotary Club of Calgary, and sits on the volunteer boards of Aspen, one of Calgary's largest family service agencies; the Children's Cottage, which offers respite, crisis and support services to children and parents; and Calgary Reads, dedicated to the improvement of literacy in children.
